Coastal centerpiece, textured pottery, sand and sea

This one of a kind vase was carefully crafted with the sea in my mind. I used a textured glaze which, when layered, creates a rough and varied surface that represents the sand. The sculpted reef parts and interior are covered with a variegated gloss glaze of blues, greens and browns. Interior is glazed approximately 3 inches down the inside of the vessel where it's then exposed stoneware. The waves along the sides carry ocean colors and textures of foam. This piece was fired to 2200F/1200C. This piece can be used indoor or outside. Would not suggest leaving water in the vessel during cold months as it can freeze, expand, and crack.
