One-of-a-kind, hand sculpted fish. Each and every scale was added individually. It's a very therapeutic process that requires a lot of patience. The face has been texturized to create the subtle waves of celadon, a blending of light green, blue and cream. The eyes, fins, and scales are all hand painted with a blue underglaze prior to the application of celadon. The combination of these colors creates an elegant bronze hue and richness.
This sculpture was made from stoneware and fired to 2200F/1200C.
