Lidded jar with dragon/lizard. Discounted. Made from durable stoneware, this jar was wheel thrown with a hand sculpted reptile of no particular origin other than the depths of my mind. The glaze yields wonderfully varied colors of matte brown, rust and turqouise that give it an ancient feel, along with the varied gloss and matte colors of the reptile that help give it life.

Perfect for any room and can hold all those little things... change, keys, snacks, cotton balls, swear jar, or use it as a flower vase. This item is food and dishwasher safe and was fired to 2200F/1200C.

*Note: Discounted. Original price is $60. There there are a few areas around the read of the body (back feet and a patch by the tail) where the glaze did not cover the surface. You can see it in the photos. This is most likely due to Latex or grease that got onto the vessel where it shouldn't be. I tried to touch up and re fire but for reasons I can't explain, the glaze won't adhere to those areas.
