Ceramic starfish jar. Looks like a starfish on beautiful polished concrete! Wheel thrown jar, hand sculpted starfish and lid. Glazes are a beautiful combination of matte and gloss. The base is a is a greenish-blue matte that contains a sand-colored crystal. As the crystal melts, a small sandy-brown bloom will appear in the glaze, producing a mottled finish.
Add a glossy turquoise painted starfish on the surface, and walla! Perfect for change, snacks, keys, small boquets, toiletries, you name it. You can even drink from it! The glaze is a beautiful variegated glaze with shades of light green and blue that float together and bleed down the vessel. This piece was fired to 2200F/1200C. Item is food and dishwasher safe.
